Super food and good prices, and the salsa bar was neat. The food came out really quickly as well. We will eat here again the next time we are in town.
Wrong business hours on Yelp. Saw a bunch of cars parked in lot Sunday morning. We ordered the Menudo and it was excellent! Lots of bite sized pieces of tripe with lots of hominy in a delicious red broth. Chopped onion and lime on the side. What a treat! Top it off, great service too.
Day 4 out in Hobbs, NM and I find myself at the most enchanting Mexican restaurant I would have never expected to have existed in this magical state. Being from Texas and so close to the border, I am very picky when trying "Mexican" food from states further from Trumps wall. My colleagues and I were plenty surprised when we bit into, what could be known as, the best restaurant in Hobbs. 5 stars all the way. Please be sure to stop in and enjoy yourselves!!!
Right after landing in Hobbs, I did what any yelper would do...look for good restaurants in the area. I wasn't particularly craving mexican, but so many reviews raved about the Chile relleno here that I decided to give it a try. Boy, am I glad I did! Only 10 minutes from the airport, this joint is off a main road and hard to miss. There is a drive thru attached to the restaurant. I entered during prime lunch time and could see the kitchen was very busy. I was seated right away and attended to. Servers are extremely friendly despite the hectic orders and many people they had to tend to. I got the combo 9 which includes Chile relleno, taco and enchilada. The Chile relleno hit the spot. It was so delicious, pepper cooked perfectly and the cheese melts in your mouth. The rice and beans complement the dish and the green sauce is very flavorful! The beef taco and chicken enchilada with red sauce weren't nearly as good, I didn't finish either one. If there was a 2nd Chile relleno on my plate however, that would have been a different story...
Great food, delicious and fast service. We will definitely be back for some good eats
